That’s a Wrap!

This was a great food week. From discovering new restaurants to munching on sweet treats, I love a week that involves trying new food. While I spent a lot of time eating, I haven’t had the time to catch up on my T.V. shows or any movies, so I’m hoping this weekend will involve some down time to veg out on the couch. Until that breather, let’s wrap up the week with a recap…

* Obsessed with the design on these chocolate wrappers.

Happy February! February is the month of footballs, purple and green beads, red and pink hearts, birthday cakes, and the celebration of a new year (Chinese New Year!). There are many great things to look forward to this month, and each event is so different that the days will fly by. Bring it on, February, we’re ready for all that you have to offer.

In the meantime, wrapping up the week with a recap

* After reading The Night Circus, I am loving all things circus-related, including these Vintage Circus Napkins.

* Prepare for the Super Bowl this weekend with some New Orleans-inspired snacks!

* I love this golden banana bowl.

* For when you 1) don’t have time to make a whole back of chocolate chip cookies and 2) only want a quick snack and 3) are feeling selfish and don’t want to share.

* If you are in New York City or Los Angeles, go see Girls Against Boys! It’s a limited release, for now.

* I am having a crepe moment (photo above).

* Such a great article re: the Oscars. I can’t wait to see Seth MacFarlane’s opening monologue…

* The Anne Hathaway parody of ‘I Dreamed a Dream.’

* Oh, high school…these celebrities’ high school yearbook photos are hilarious.

* Cute Valentine’s Day DIY.

Have a great (Super Bowl) weekend!

Friday’s Features

♥ A pretty cake for the weekend!

It’s a big weekend here in Los Angeles with the Academy Awards. The hype leading up to Oscar Sunday is always so much fun, since everyone looks like a winner and the suspense is heightened. The minute the Oscars end is a sad one, as that is the moment you realize there won’t be another fabulous evening as grand as the Oscars for another 365 days. But despite the potentially horrifying traffic, I intend to venture out to LA and try some new restaurants and bond with friends. This week was pretty productive and tiring, so the weekend feels like a good time to recharge. Without further ado, here are the things I have been watching and craving this week…

♥ Audrey Hepburn at the 1954 Academy Awards

♥  This bourbon chocolate milkshake is looking so tasty

♥  This Means War was entertaining, fun, and perfect for a girls night out!

♥ Waffles for Saturday and Sunday brunch

Friday’s Features

After doing weeks of If You Like This, You Might Like That, I’ve decided to test out a new Friday post. Introducing: Friday’s Features. After a week full of food and film inspiration, I’ll share what I’ve been craving and watching. Tomorrow is the first day of October, and I am so ready to be done with September. It has felt long (yet productive!) and I feel like I am already in Fall mode. Even though the temperatures are still above 75 degrees and the skies are clear, here’s to bundling up in chunky knit scarves, drinking hot chocolate next to a roaring fire, and popping in a late night movie. Have a great weekend!

♥ Beignets for breakfast (On my to-do list: try this recipe!)

♥ The trailer for Big Miracle

♥ Sushi take-out while catching up on the week’s shows

♥ Weekend trip to Hollywood

♥ Birthday cake for my friend’s 21st birthday
