Whether you are hosting or attending a Valentine’s Day party this February, make a statement with the food that you serve/bring. Valentine’s Day parties can be fun because there is pink all over and the edible goodies tend to be very sweet! Desserts are a must at a Valentine’s Day party, and I would argue may be even more important than the actual food you serve. If you are thinking of having an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party or going all Jessica Biel in Valentine’s Day and throwing an I Hate Valentine’s Day Party, check out this site.

Wow this week has flown by! It was an extremely busy week, but I did manage to find some brief moments of relaxation and reflection. I feel like my to-do list continues to grow when I’m not looking, but as long as it all gets done I have no problem with that. This weekend there are some pretty fun movies coming out (W.E. – limited release and Big Miracle)! Nowadays all I seem to purchase are movie tickets and food. Such is life. Hopefully I’ll have time to make it to the theater for Big Miracle, but besides that, here are some other things that I am watching and craving. What are your plans this weekend?
♥ “Why don’t you tell me that ‘if the girl had been worth having, she’d have waited for you’? No, sir, the girl really worth having won’t wait for anybody.”
- This Side of Paradise, F. Scott Fitzgerald
♥ Eat Cake for Breakfast (only sometimes :P) – buy it here
♥ This would make daily morning tea even sweeter
♥ Bridesmaids. I’m so excited that it is nominated for an Oscar (Best Original Screenplay by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo; also, Melissa McCarthy was nominated for Best Supporting Actress). Love when comedy is recognized, especially for such an elite award.

♥ This week I enjoyed 2 snow days!
The second semester has officially begun, and after a long, restful break, I’m ready to get back into the swing of things. Even though I’m swamped wth work this weekend, I want to make it to the theater to catch a flick – perhaps The Iron Lady or In the Land of Blood and Honey? In the meantime, these are the things I have been watching and craving.

I went to see New Year’s Eve this week and saw a trailer for The Lucky One. Of course, Nicholas Sparks really knows how to tell a story and make anyone with a heart feel some kind of emotion (trailer below). I am also obsessed with that hamburger wrapping paper. So clever and creative. What did you watch and crave this week? Have a wonderful Christmas and a great weekend!
