When I first saw A Walk to Remember, I remember crying so hard. Sure, my tears were a result of what happens, but also because of the love the two characters shared. I’ll never forget the scene where Landon Carter dances with Jamie Sullivan in two places at once. And then Dancing in the Moonlight came on, and I was a goner. In Sweet November, I was a sucker for the love story. In both movies, two unlikely characters fall in love and are ultimately changed for the better. If you have seen these two movies, I do realize this could be viewed as a depressing comparison, but I am focusing more on the love stories and character growth. Though these characters are at different stages in their lives, they all accept change and growth. These characters go against all odds and realize you can’t help who you fall in love with, that you don’t have to live up to anyone’s expectations, and to do what makes you happy.
