As the days of August come to an end, there is one thing that comes to mind: going back to school. September is one week away, which means it is time to start packing, ordering textbooks, reuniting with friends, and saying goodbye to home for a couple of months. While Summer came and went much too quickly, there are many new adventures to be had in the Fall. I personally cannot wait for leaves to change colors, for the crisp morning air, talking to friends I haven’t seen in months, and for getting settled into my classes.
When I think of going back to school, I think of a couple of hilarious movies that take place in schools. Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore is a heartfelt movie about a journalist who goes undercover at her old high school so she can do firsthand research for a story. If you like this movie, you might like Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield. Back to School is the story about a rich businessman enrolling in the same college as his dispirited son to help him get through it. Though these movies have different plots, they tell the stories of adults going back to school with an agenda.
These movies are fun and silly (read: a good distraction from the reality of late night study sessions, cafeteria food, and waking up for early morning classes).
